Meet our Team - Tod McDowell - Don Finto - Steve Allen
Don Finto became Senior Pastor of Belmont Church in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 during the height of the “Jesus Movement”. His own personal encounter with the Holy Spirit had already brought significant changes in his life. These changes enabled him to be a leader and challenge many of the young people who were turning to Jesus during that time, including some of the early contemporary Christian artists and Jewish young people. His relationship with the young Jewish disciples launched him into a study of biblical prophecy and God’s plan for Israel and the Jewish people and into further relationships with Jewish believers in Jesus in the US, Israel and other nations.
In 1996 Don founded “The Caleb Company” (www.calebcompany.com), named after Israel’s warrior who was still conquering territory into old age and whose descendants conquered the Land—Numbers 14:24 & Joshua 14:11
Since leaving the pastorate in 1997, Don has given most of his time to this vision and its practical expressions. He regularly shares about the understanding of the Church’s relationship to her Hebraic roots and her need to bless Israel and the Jewish people. He is active in efforts to bring the Church together with the ever-expanding movement of Jewish believers in Jesus (Yeshua) believing this affects the growing world revival. He also challenges men and woman of all ages to continue in the battle and take their place to empower the next generation. His Regal-published book (2001), “Your People Shall Be My People”, with accompanying Teacher's and Student's Guides and several international translations, has opened doors of ministry around the world.
A second book titled “God’s Promises and the Future of Israel – (subtitle) compelling questions people ask about Israel and the Middle East”, a Regal 2006 release, is currently available and also being translated into several languages.
