Meet our Team - Tod McDowell - Don Finto - Steve Allen
Steve Allen
A third generation missionary, Stephen was born and raised on the mission field in Seoul, South Korea. A rich heritage in the Lord through his parents was the foundation for his calling at Abilene Christian University to major in missions. After receiving a BS in Mission from ACU in 1988 Stephen felt the great need for practical training and spent the next three years training as an evangelist in St. Louis, Missouri under the mentoring of Stanley Shipp in the St. Louis Spiritual Internship. During that time a mission team of four couples were raised up.
Stephen received the answer to many years of prayers for a Godly mate and partner in the calling of God, when he married Samantha Jean White in December of 1989 in Houston, Texas. After the team finished training in St. Louis they left for the mission field in October of 1991. Stephen and Samantha spent 16 years in Thailand in church planting, campus ministry and directing summer internships for American college students. Stephen also helped direct a school of ministry for young Thai people for almost three years.
It was during the late 90’s that the Lord began to stir Stephen‘s heart for Israel through prayer and fasting and Don’s writings. In 2007 it became clear to them that it was time to hand over leadership of the church over to Thai leaders. Through seeking the Lord, the Allens moved to Redding, California in August of 2008 for a season of sabbatical and reentry back into the United States. Stephen attended the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry under Pastor Bill Johnson.
In December of 2007 Stephen felt a stirring in him in response to Don’s newsletter that spoke of a dream that Tod McDowell h
ad of C2LT ~ Caleb Company Leadership Training. This resonated with Stephen because of the calling on his life to raise up leaders and help father them. After phone calls and a visit to Nashville in June of 2008, Don and Tod gave an invitation for the Allens to come and work alongside Caleb Company.
The Allens moved to Nashville in July of 2008. Over the past year Stephen has moved into the roles of being an assistant to the directors, consultant and life coach to the Caleb Company Family. Stephen is also working as an administrator in an investment firm to one of the close friends of Caleb Company.
His vision statement captures his heart in what he believes is God’s calling on his life.
“In 2009 I am called to be a father that walks in passion, purity and power in the Lord. I delight in loving my wife, fathering my children and walking in integrity as an associate in Caleb Co. and an administrator in Ergon Capital. In all my roles I am called to reflect the love and heart of father God. I will wholeheartedly seek to make other men great as I help empower and propel them in their God given destinies.”
Stephen is crazy about his beautiful wife Samantha of almost 20 years and is delighted in his six children.
